About the Film
SEIZURES is a hybrid documentary from an Emmy award-winning team that blends vérité storytelling with scripted “memory scenes” to depict filmmaker Skylar Economy’s journey navigating epilepsy, family, and the search for independence. The film explores the unspoken emotional terrain of disability, secrets, and identity — and seeks to shift how we represent and relate to epilepsy and neurodiversity on screen. At its core, SEIZURES is about overcoming the stigma surrounding epilepsy by bringing hidden truths into the light — transforming silence into visibility, shame into empowerment, and personal reckoning into collective change.
This isn’t just a film - it’s a movement. With powerful partners and a mission to educate and inspire, SEIZURES aims to premiere at major festivals, stream globally, and catalyze change across the disability, medical, and creative communities.
About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and self-starting Social Media Intern to help build an authentic and dynamic presence for SEIZURES on Instagram and TikTok. You’ll work directly with the film’s producers to develop and execute a social strategy that introduces the story, sparks conversation, and builds a passionate community around the film’s themes — including disability justice, family, memory, and filmmaking.
